The Challenge – Remote Work

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Accenture was looking for alternative ways to industry to manage assets and operations remotely. The need to visualize the situation on the ground with most to updated information to make time-critical decisions was paramount to the use case.

The COVID-19 situation has forced us to reinvent the way we work, the way we look at operations post the pandemic as we adapt to the new normalcy of working from anywhere.

The Solution – Popul8’s 360 Digital Twin

Using the Singapore Innovation Hub and the Popul8’s solution, the joint team was able to map the layout of the “asset” and for the team members to remotely navigate through the location and to have information visually on the health/operations on the ground from remote locations.

Accenture’s goal was not necessarily saving time but rather solving a vital industry problem. As the world starts to return to the work environment, it is important to learn from the challenges that COVID-19 has brought to our attention and how to reinforce the resilience to future disruptions. Popul8’s 360 Digital Twin together with Accenture’s industry and technology capabilities have helped prove the use case to confidently communicate and make the right decisions for our clients.
